A Day To Welcome Golden Prosperity

Traditional festivities were in full swing on 23 February 2019 at the Majestic Hotel, as AGAPE celebrated the Lunar Year with 1,000 guests. AGAPE CEO and Global President Dato’ Sri Dr How Kok Choong extended new year greetings to every Million Dollar Legacy Club (MDLC) leaders and AGAPEans nationwide.

Dato’ Sri Dr How was joined by AGAPE’s Chief Operating Officer Datin Sri Yvonne Teng, Superlife Team member Professor Dr Michael Tirant, Phoenix Plus CEO Mr Delon Fong, DSwiss founder and CEO Vincent Leong, Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) former secretary-general (Domestic Trade Division) Datuk Abu Samah Shabudin, National Malaysian Co-operative (ANGKASA) president Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah, ASEAN Co-operative Organization (ACO) secretary-general Dato’ Paduka Hanapi Suliman.  

A highlight of the celebration was the much-anticipated performance by world champion lion dance troupe, Kun Seng Keng (KSK) from Muar, Johor. The multiple award-winning KSK lion dancers thrilled the guests with several impressive acrobatic movements, lifts and jump on some high poles placed inside the grand ballroom. The guests were also entertained with traditional dance, a live band performance and a lucky draw. Another major highlight of the event was when the guests joined the VIPs in tossing yee sang to signify good luck, longevity, prosperity and success.

Memorandum of Understanding

The event also witnessed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between AGAPE and DSwiss. Dato’ Sri Dr How Kok Choong J.P. had acquired DSwiss, a premier nutraceutical biotechnology company listed on the U.S. OTC Market. The signing will see the two companies collaborate to boost product development. “By partnering with DSwiss, AGAPE will leverage DSwiss’s high-quality functional health supplement, skin care solution, wellness products and turnkey private label manufacturing services,” said Dato’ Sri Dr How.

As one of the enduring traditions for Chinese communities, Dato’ Sri Dr How gave out red packets containing crisp, new banknotes to everyone as a blessing of good luck and well wishes.
